Run Communications developed a UK wide, integrated campaign for The National Lottery. More than 100,000 tickets were made available on a ‘Buy One Get One Free’ basis for National Lottery players for selected matches across three weekends in March and April.
The brief? To provide media relations support across Wales.
What I did:
- Helped create a media opportunity at Barry Town United FC where #TNLFootballWeekends ambassador Karen Carney met the inspirational disability coach Chloe McBratney – and her guide dog Emily!
- Successfully pitched to media and managed on-the-day interviews
- Worked with selected football clubs to highlight how they help their local communities
Successes:
- 32 pieces of media coverage including an ITV Wales live segment, BBC Radio Wales, features in Wales Online and the Daily Post and a feature on S4C’s Heno.
What they said:
“Jane was a valuable member of our team that delivered a highly successful campaign for The National Lottery, highlighting the vital role played by non—league and grassroots football clubs in communities across the UK and the support provided to them by The National Lottery during the Coronavirus pandemic.
She demonstrated a tremendous work ethic, understanding of the media and tenacious approach to delivering strong media coverage all of which played a part in the success of the campaign. Jane was also a pleasure to work with and I would not hesitate to work with her again or indeed recommend her to others.”
